Danielle Bezalel, MPH, Creator, Executive Producer, and Host (she/her)
Meet Danielle, aka DB. The idea for the podcast all started when Danielle went to Israel for a year to teach English in 2014. She had always been passionate about sex education but during her time in Israel, this passion was ignited. After thinking about this experience more deeply, Danielle decided she would create a podcast that normalizes the often taboo topics of sex education. In June of 2017, Sex Ed with DB was born: a feminist podcast bringing you all the sex ed you never got through unique and entertaining storytelling!

Carly Yoshida, Fundraising Coordinator (she/her)
Carly is extremely passionate about all things related to women's health and sexuality, especially combatting gender-based violence and rape culture. In real life, she does fundraising and business development for Samasource, a social enterprise that connects marginalized women and youth to digital jobs in East Africa and South Asia. In her free time, Carly reads a lot and eats fancy food, and volunteers as a certified Rape Crises Counselor. She's based in NY.

Lisa Feierman, Social Media Lead (she/her)
Lisa is a digital news editor based in New York City. To remain inspired in this political climate, she also curates her own weekly good-newsletter, Rose-Colored Roundup, which highlights the feel-good news stories of empowerment and progress that we tend to miss these days. She is passionate about shining a light on policy issues that are often overshadowed by horse race political coverage. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied Media & Public Policy.

Katie is a sound engineer with over ten years experience working in public radio. She is currently based at KQED in San Francisco. In her spare time she mixes multiple podcasts, records music and donates recording time to a few Bay Area nonprofits.

Alex Morton, Website Designer and Creator (she/her)
Alex is currently living her dreams of living in France; when she's not wrangling together a bunch of French high school students trying to teach them to speak English, she's working on her website design business - Alex Morton Creative. She enjoys discovering new places and revisiting old ones, swimming for extended periods of time in the ocean, reading about entrepreneurial women, and feeling inspired by how those women created businesses and lives that set their hearts on fire.

Cathren Cohen, Content Editor (she/her)
Cathren is a lawyer, activist, and feminist living in New York City. Cathren is dedicated to utilizing both legal advocacy and public engagement to fight injustice and promote evidence-based policy. She is particularly passionate about reproductive justice and the rights of LGBTQ individuals. Cathren is a proud graduate of NYU School of Law and UCLA.

Carissa Diaz, Graphic Illustrator (she/her)
Carissa (Mizz Doodle) is a San Francisco based artist whose main mediums include digital and pencil illustration. She is a senior at SF State and is graduating with a BA in Studio Art. Carissa is currently working on creating her own shop to sell a range of custom prints and stickers focusing on uplifting women. Her main goal as an artist is to use the work as a vessel to propose questions about the world we live in through a playful visual lens.
